It's official. Daron just left a message that he was almost to the airport and that he didn't get the passports today. He said he is so happy to be coming home to our family, our church, and our home, but it is very hard to leave the kids there. He also said that he still isn't feeling well today with the chills and aches. Please pray for him that he can get some rest, some food, and be refreshed as much as he can while traveling for 24 hours. We will have to get him checked out tomorrow if he isn't better when he arrives.
Please pray for the kids and that they can understand that we will be back for them. They seemed to understand today when Daron and our friend, Lucy, helped explain it to them. I love them and know that God loves them even more and He will be watching over them, so that gives me peace. Sad peace, if that is possible.

We will continue to pray for your family; we are kind of in the same situation our baby boy is still there but as my hubby said this morning. God is in control and He will take care of our precious children. The Lord will take care of it in his choosing. It is hard to know that part of your family are miles and miles away but we can have comfort in the Lord and just continue to pray and comfort each other in this time.
Take care; you are in thoughts and prayers.

Wishing you peace and comfort. So tough- the waiting every day for what you hope will be the news you want and then to have it not happen and have to leave... it just really hard. Sending prayers your way...

Will continue to pray for you and your family, near and far.
So, so sorry for all of you.
Praying for your hearts.
Hugs & Prayers,

Kristin - Congrats on the I-600 approval. This whole passport things is making us a little crazy, too. We never did re-submit an application - we are still hoping for our original to go through. Did you resubmit an application with your decree?
Kristin, I'm so sorry that Darron had to leave Fia and Kwame behind. I know how heartbreaking that is. We'll be praying for passports to come so that they can join the rest of the family.
Even though it's hard to say goodbye to the kids, it was my experience that it only helped the bonding process. Our social worker has stressed to us, during both adoptions, that we must leave our children from time to time, otherwise they don't learn that we'll come back. And I found that to be true with Mary. We'll also be praying that your kids bond more quickly to your family because they've learned that mommy and daddy come back for them.
Love and prayers,

Ginny, we didn't resubmit with a decree so it still doesn't have our name on it, but we did resubmit because they couldn't find Kwame's and we thought it may have gotten lost with the change in directors.
