I thought it might be helpful to post a map of Africa on the blog, as well as a map of Ghana, to help some of you get a better idea of where we are adopting from. Ghana is in West Africa and on the coast surrounded by Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and Togo. Ghana is about the size of Oregon. We plan on traveling there to bring home our little boy after the agency (AAI) gives us a referral and the adoption is final. We are hoping to get a referral for a little boy that is somewhere between the ages of 0-4 in the next couple of months. After the referral, it could take anywhere from 6 weeks to 4 months to bring him home. Let's hope it is sooner rather than later.
